Paste a link from Steam, the App Store, Google Play, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Epic, GOG or itch.io. We read every public part of the page and measure it against what is selling on that store right now.

Your game across Steam
Your real art in the places Steam shows it, at the size shoppers see it. Squint to see what survives a glance.
Want it fixed for you?
The Rewrite hands you a finished short description, About section and a full ranked 20 tag lineup, ready to paste into Steamworks.
Cross-store check
Every store page for the same game, side by side. Shoppers on each store only ever see their own page, so each one has to sell the game alone.
What lines up and what does not
Launching on several stores?
Each store has its own limits, art shapes and rules. The Overhaul rewrites one page; a campaign covers every store you are on, priced to your plan.
Why the check is free
A lot of marketing pitches right now promise viral launches and overnight wishlists, often with AI doing the talking. Nobody can honestly promise that, and we will not pretend to.
So we built the opposite. The check shows you exactly what is on your page, what is working, what is not, and why, so you can fix it yourself today. No store publishes exactly how its recommendations work, so every point in the report is something public that the store or a shopper can actually see. Where a store keeps a field private, the report says so instead of guessing. No guesses dressed up as secrets.
It is free, there is no signup, and it stays that way. If you would rather have people who do this every day rebuild the page with you, that is the paid side of what we do, and we would love to hear about your game. Either way, you leave knowing more about your page than when you arrived.
Every store plays by different rules
A page that wins on Steam can sink on the App Store. These are the levers that decide whether players find your game on each platform, and the ones we work on.
-
PC
Steam
Your tags decide which shelves and recommendations you appear on, and wishlists gathered before launch drive how hard Steam pushes you on release day. Next Fest and seasonal events are the biggest free spotlights.
We work on: the 20 tag lineup, short description, capsule, About section, festival timing.
-
PC
Epic, GOG and itch.io
Epic and GOG are smaller, curated storefronts where the page and key art carry more weight than any algorithm. itch.io rewards active devlogs, honest tags and a community that follows your updates.
We work on: store copy, key art direction, tags, devlog plans.
-
Console
PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo
Console stores lean on curated featuring, genre lists and showcases such as ID@Xbox events, Nintendo Indie World and the PlayStation Blog. Your listing text, key art and trailer have to land in a few seconds on a TV across the room.
We work on: store listing copy, key art and trailer direction, showcase and pitch timing.
-
Mobile
App Store
Search runs on a 30 character name, a 30 character subtitle and a hidden 100 character keyword field. The first screenshots and a 30 second app preview do most of the selling before anyone reads a word.
We work on: name and subtitle, keyword field, screenshot story, preview video.
-
Mobile
Google Play
There is no keyword field, so the 30 character title, the 80 character short description and the full description all count toward search. Your feature graphic and first screenshots are what people see in the results.
We work on: title, short and full description, feature graphic and screenshot direction.
-
Everywhere
Creators, socials and community
Most players hear about a game before they ever see the store page: from a creator, a clip, a friend or a Discord. Every platform's page works better when people arrive already curious.
We work on: creator outreach, short form content, community and launch campaigns.

Quiet since 2020. Public now. Here is what that means for you.
The Entity Effect has worked behind the scenes since 2020, researching what makes games get found and bought on every major store, helping developers privately and learning the industry from both solo devs and established studios. 2026 is the year we open the doors. That early work was private, so we will not dress it up as a portfolio. We would rather earn your trust on terms you can hold us to.
Your work is yours
Everything we write for your page belongs to you the moment it is delivered.

We sign one before you share anything that is not already public.
Deadlines, not estimates

No promised numbers
Nobody honest can guarantee wishlists. We guarantee the work, done well and on time.
Questions
Is the page check really free?
Yes. No account, no email. Run it on your page, a competitor's, or a game you love and see how it reads.
What does the check look at?
Everything a shopper sees on that store. On Steam: tags and their order, short description, screenshots, trailer, About section and your capsule at search size. On the App Store and Google Play: name, subtitle or short description against the character limits, icon, screenshots, video, ratings and update notes. On consoles: your art in the exact shapes the store crops, descriptions, ratings, languages, play modes and Xbox's hidden search terms. On GOG, itch.io and Epic: tags, media and description. Where the store has a public top list, you are measured against the games on it right now.
What do I get when I buy a fix?
Finished text you can paste straight into your store dashboard and a ranked discovery setup: all 20 tags on Steam, the keyword field and subtitle on the App Store, the short description on Google Play, and the right genres and features on console stores, each with the reasoning behind the top picks. The Overhaul adds written direction for screenshots, trailer, key art and timing. One revision pass is included with both.
Do you work on console and mobile games?
Yes. Fixes cover one store page each: Steam, Epic, GOG, itch.io, PlayStation Store, Xbox, Nintendo eShop, the App Store or Google Play. Every store finds games differently, so the work changes with it: tags and wishlists on Steam, keywords and screenshots on mobile, showcases and featuring on console. Campaigns cover every platform you ship on.
We launch on several platforms. Where should we start?
Start with the store where most of your players will find you. For most indie PC games that is Steam, where wishlists build before launch. For mobile it is whichever store your audience uses most. Tell us your platforms in the intake and we will point out what carries over to the others.
Why is the Steam report deeper than the others?
Steam publishes more about its pages than any other store: ranked tags, tag shelves, review history and announcements, so the Steam report can go further, down to watching your trailer's opening seconds. Every other store gets a full report built on what that store actually shows. Anything a store keeps private, like Apple's keyword field, is named in the report so you know to check it yourself.
What is the cross-store check?
Paste every store link for the same game, with a space between them. We read all the pages at once and line them up: names, media, video, ratings, prices and languages. It flags where one store's page is falling behind the others, like a trailer that never made it to your Switch page.
My store page is not public yet. Can you still help?
Yes. Buy the fix and tell us in the intake. We write from your build, your notes and your screenshots so the page launches ready.
Steam Next Fest is close. Is there time?
The Rewrite turns around in 48 hours, which is usually enough to get a better page live before a festival. Send your festival date in the intake and we plan around it.
Will this guarantee more wishlists or sales?
No, and be wary of anyone who says it will. A page that says clearly what the game is and shows up on the right shelves gives every visitor a better chance of becoming a wishlist, a download or a sale. That is the part we fix.
Apply for a launch campaign
For games that want a team running the launch alongside them, on any platform. Solo dev or established studio, every campaign gets the same effort, scaled to where you are now. Pricing is personal to your game and stays between us. We reply to every application within 24 hours.
